Help. JMF only showing a blue screen ( not a crash )

I have a problem with a web cam and JMF/JMStudio. All I get is a blue screen in JMStudio and my application. However, the camera is working properly, because the little app that comes with the camera shows the video and plays the sound from the camera just fine.

JMStudio and my application play the sound just fine. I'm just no receiving the video ( or so it appears ).

My last try was to uninstall the camera, uninstall JMStudio, then reinstall them... first installing the camera and ensure it is working (meaning the drivers are installed correctly). Then install JMStudio and run jmfinit.I'm using JMF 2.1.1e.

One note. The camera was working just fine on the exact same machine. I moved the USB port to which it was connected, and ZAP!It hasn't worked since then. I have tried switching it back, with full uninstalls and reinstalls of both the PC Camera and JMStudio.

The camera is a DLink DSB-310.

The machine is an HP with AMD 64 and 2GB ram.

Any ideas?

HIIf you moved USB port, then you have to install driver for that port again. If you are using XP, then it should be automatically detected.

Let me cite from my original post:

***

I have tried switching it back, with full uninstalls and reinstalls of both the PC Camera and JMStudio.

***

The camera is working fine. JMStudio is only showing a blue screen ***even after full uninstalls and reinstalls of both the PC camera and JMStudio****

Did you solve your problem yet?I dunno really, but I suspect that maybe your cam is not processed by JMF correctly resulting in video being disabled.
