Problem in running a jar on the web

Hi ppl,

I have a jar file which has an applet code...i created a .html file and tested it on my system... it worked fine....

Now i want to test it on the net. If i upload the jar file and the html file on to some free web space(like tripod.com) and run from it, it isnt working? Any idea if there is a basic flaw in what I am doing?
