cant shut down java

i have unistalled all instances of java and reinstalled the latest version of java and still when i go to shut down my windows xp i get this message:

TRDww:C:\ProgramFiles\Java|jre1.50

and the program is still running so i have to end the program by clicking "end program"

here is my computer system:

Microsoft windows xp pro

service pak w

intel pentium (4) cpu 2.80ghz

512mb

.net installed

firefox 1.5.0.7
