SCJP certification

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me what is the best book/material to study for SL-275 (Java programming language) to become a SCJP? I have no previous experience of Java, though I been working with C, COBOL and Unix for the pas 11 yrs. I donot want to attend the sun training course bcoz I simply cannot afford it.

Also after this I would like to go for SCEA certification, please let me know what books/materials would help to study for SCEA?
