about T=0, T=1 Transmission protocols

Hello....APDUs are carried by the transmission protocol.I want to know detail "what is the use of the T=0 and T=1 protocols in javacard?"

T=0 refers to the half-duplex transmission of asynchronous characters

and T=1 refers to the half-duplex asynchronous transmission of blocks.

The differece between T=0 and T=1 is transmission data type, characters or blocks.
