problem with java oracle connectivity

hi friendsi have installed oracle 9i personal edition.my operating system is windows xp..my problem is that i am not getting the connectivity done.plz help me as soon as possible..

If you are using XP (especially home edition) you may have a firewall preventing the connection happening.

Better check that the oracle is installed properly. I had experienced a problem with oracle 8i. After installing oracle 8i java code did not execute. If its running properly, plz post ur code
