sending an sms to a mobile phone...

Hi sorry if this has been asked before... I know it has but even in the searches I found no help.

I am new to Java ME and I would like write an application which sends text messages to my cellular phone... and then put a timer on it to send messages in intervals. Does anyone know of any code that can even give me an idea of how to do this? I'm desperate thank you.
