I want to Convert DataObject to HashMap

Hi, I have a complex DataObject, I want to convert this DataObject to HashMap. I mean I want to place each name value pair of DataObject into HashMap.Can any one help me out in this regard.Regards,Srikanth
What is the DataObject? What API is this from? It doesn't have accessor methods to get the data out of it?
