Java TV 1.1 reference implementation samples

Hello,

I'm trying to run the samples wich came with the reference implementation 1.1_01 of the Java TV, but I'm a bit confused, the media.TestMedia cant run on my machine.

I try to run with normal java (jdk 1.5) and using the all new CDC toolkit emulator,

with both I can run the SvcDispXlet , but neither run the TestMedia, that should play an .mov video, if someone interest in helping me, I can send all the information, perhaps we can open a topic just for this...

Some questions...:

1 - Anyone run this samples?

2 - There are any other way of run Java TV Xlet, except using XletView ( I will make applications for ISDB-T and will NOT use MHP at all...) ?

3 - There are a complete (final) version of the Java TV implementation(non-free its good too)?

Still dont know

all the problems came from erroneous information on the Sun site that points that the RI is for Windows NT, and it doesnt.. its for linux

thanks ! ;-)

Hi,

can you give some hints on how to set up the CDC Toolkit to get it to work with Sun's JavaTV? I managed to find the javac.classpath property in the project.properties where I added the javatv.jar to the path to be able to compile an Xlet.

But setting application.args doesn't seem to work. Neither does it see the javatv Jar-file in my classpath.

If you could share some of your knowledge, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Helmut
