Java HotSpot Error Logs - Changing default path ?

Im using Windows XP and it has Java HotSpot Virtual Machine log files (err_pidXXXX.log) being automatically stored onto my desktop.Im not interested in these error messages only in either disabling these log files from being created or at the very least moving them to a more appropriate directory path.

Can someone please tell me how to make such an adjustment under Windows XP.
