Help Please - Java Fatal Error

I am doing an online course which uses Java and my machine keeps telling me that "Several Java Virtual Machines Running In The Same Process Caused a Fatal Error, can someone tell me how to get rid of this.What do I do? I cant access the course any at all.Thanks
What platform (hardware and operating system) are you running on? Which Java virtual machine (vendor and version) are you using?
I don't recognize the error message you quote, so maybe it's not the Java virtual machine that's at fault, but whatever is starting several of them (?) in the same process.
