javac missing after install on RedHat 8

Hello,

I'm trying to install j2sdk-1_4_2_11-linux-i586-rpm.bin on our Red Hat server. I followed the instructions and it seems as if the RPM does install. However when I change into the directory /TheInstallDir/linux/java/jre1.4.2/bin there is no javac executable.

What did I do wrong? How do I get the Java compiler?
