problem when client applet is running

hi again.. i have a problem that i have juz discovered.. each time i run my client applet, a blank .txt file is created in the server folder without me entering any information that would be captured by the server.. is this normal as i know that the server would only create the .txt file when information is send from the client.. how do i go about with this.. thanks alot..=)
