Data Modeling - Forecasting (Probability)? Question

Ok, First of all I took a probability and queuing class back in college ages ago, and I don't remember any of it?! My boss want to create a data modeling - forecasting application for our company. Now our company is very big, and is spread out accross the world.

We are a company that deals with Medical Solutions. We create and sell medical equipment, supplies, drugs etc... and sell them to the market as well as inter departmental purchases.

My boss want to create a tool that can sort of forecast the probability of all phases of these transactions. So for example. If we have a certain part that is ordered. Forecast the price increase of the part in the next month, year etc... predict who will most likely buy that product. Predict the months, or time frame where that product doesnt sell well, and why?

Also, the predictability of our customers. Who pays ontime. How long does it take to do the contract processing for each customer? The list goes on and on. He actually wants me to develop this thing, and then turn around and sell it to inner departments of the same company.

Hey I just develop the stuff! Anyway, I have no idea about how to go about developing this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Find and pay someone who is an expert on probabilistic modeling toprovide the algorithms/formulae you need. Buy a good book on the subject and hunker down with it.
