adding a combobox to a column header

i am trying to add a combobox to column header but i cant seem to get it to work. when i run my code the whole column turns into a combobox. i want the the name of the column header to be fixed but it has a drop down arrow beside it . has anyone any ideas how i would do this or point me towards examples
