HELP

Very simplistic question I am sure but new to Java...I keep getting an error when installing a third party application that requires jre1.4.2 as follows, "You must have some version of java 1.4 running on your PC to run this install" Can anyone tell me how to start the service...or get it running on my PC?

Go to this site and click on the "Download JRE 5.0 Update 6" link. Follow the instructions and get the offline installer. After the download, execute the installer and let it install JRE on your PC.

Perform your third party installation after the JRE installation is successful.
