JMF, is it dead?

I would love to use JMF, i'm very concerned because

it appears deprecated (DEAD). Anyone w/any inside info?

Is there a release in the near future with

RTSP streaming server support. So

whats the deal Scott, Afuneral orrelease for JMF?

Thanks very much.

Can't wait for this, moved onto c++, much, much more support, available libs and better PERFORMANCE. Since JMF is mostly c++ anyway,Ill move JMF to the same container as Swing and other

useless .jars Sun has produced over the years. Nothing makes me

more angry than a good idea w/a bad implementation and no support. IT REALLY SMELLS LIKE J++ ALL OVER AGAIN! It's like they got to

80% and stopped. I guess w/a stock price of 4.97, you only

have so much to work w/.

In the absence of support be RUDE!

I went to the sourceforge page. Nothing to download? I may be able to help. I am very interested in this topic as well since we don't even know if this JMF will be around or not. Why doesn't sun just release it to open source so it can live?

To see what we have so far, you'll have to use CVS access. We have a fair amount of code but there is still not enough to justify a binary download.

I encourage anyone interested to participate, discussions on the state of the project and how people can get started or best help can go on in the FMJ forums on sourceforge.

Thanks,
