hi,check with your JRE version .If its not working for the JRE version then try to use the higher version of JRE.Warm RegardsKamal

If you are using one of the Java 1.5.x versions, it can be removed by opening Windows Control Panel | Java Control Panel | Advanced |Security and clear "Show sandbox warning banner."You will no longer be warned when an applet runs, which is a reduction in security protection.

thanks for your replies. I am running version 1.5. I removed the sandbox warning option, but that did not remove the bar. Is there is another way to tackle this?Thank you

It works for me. Maybe the applet is being run by some other version of Java, or the bar is being created in some other manner that isn't standard Java.

Hi! Come to think of it, it's only to do with the browser. You only need to uncheck the status bar under 'view' . :)
