HI NO REPLY YET TO THIS POSTING...............?
Just I learnt about Duke Dollars. The proper responser will be awarded with sufficient duke dollars for this problem.
I personally find it to be a faulty package at sun download center itself.
Can any body review it and do the needful for me?
Thanking you.

Please ensure the following-
1. You have completely downloaded the file - javke-1_4_1-linux.sh. You can optionally use Sun download manager if you are having any problems in downloading.
2. You have a JDK version 1.4.2_06 or above already installed in your machine. Installer might not be able to find proper JDK in your machine. You can run the installer using this command -
' javke-1_4_1-linux.sh -is:javahome <JDK_Installation_Dir> '
3. Make sure you have proper permissions in the system temp directory and the user home directory. From the error message I see ' -Dtemp.dir="/root"
