I was having serious problems with my online banking account.
They advised me to uninstall and re-install J2SE RunTime Environment
5.0.
I did this.
Problem became worse.
Thought perhaps I made an installation error.
I now cannot uninstall the program, nor can I overwrite it.
I receive the error "internal error 2753 RegUtils"
Fatal error during Installation.
Can anyone help please?

I am experiencing the same thing. I had problems browsing a website. It was suggested that I download the latest version of Java. So I did. But as I was doing it..the download stalled. I let it be like this for 15 minutes and the only thing I could do was restart my computer. I cant install the program and I cant remove it either.
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

This morning I downloaded Java for WinXP but it has been impossible to install it because I keep getting a message that there is a file from a previous installation which has to be removed. I have searched for it but I can't find it anywhere. What can I do to get rid of it?
Please advise as soon as possible.

Go tho this site and download this program Windows Installer Clean Up Utility 1.0 http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml
Install it on your computer and run it. Select the program you want to remove in this case java (whatever version) and remove it. restart your computer and you should be fine. Install the latest version and everything will be fine.
