Need help in : WebSphere Application Server 6.0.1 Installation

I am using windows xp and i am installing WAS version 6.0.1. This error message appears:

A suitable JVM could not be found. Please run the program again using the -is:javahome <JAVA HOME DIR> CreateProcessFailed ==>%1 is not a valid Win32 application.

In the command line, i entered the ff command as i was instructed to:

F:\WAS>install -is:javahome F:\JDK\repository\prereq.jdk\java

and I still get the same error message.
