Need advice on finding GUI standards for Web applications

My organization recently started working with developing Java Applications for the web (intranet only).We develop using JSF for the frontend. We need to start building some GUI standards for the process. Can anyone out there suggest a good website or other resource (as a starting point) so we can taylor some of the GUI standards out there to our needs.
