Deleting Java Objects in Internet Explorer

I work for a help desk (I am Tier I) and there seems to be confusion regarding the handling of java objects in Internet Explorer.

I have asked everyone i can think to ask, and i get different answers.

My question is twofold:

1) How do you tell a bad java object (internet options>settings>view objects)? Are they the ones that have a file size or no file size?

2) Should objects be deleted? All of them or just some of them? Do objects repopulate or does it require java being reinstalled.

It may be coincidence, but i could swear i have fixed several problems by combining cleared caches with deleting java objects (our site is java instensive).

Thanks for the input!

*huh* All this is news to me. The only objects I know in the location that you mention are the activex controls.
