How to remove mouse listener

hi there

this is sumit , i m working on a swing application and i m using a Jpanel

that has an image icon now when i click on that image label it opens another

window having the same image label but i want to stop it from being clicked and

open another instance of a window thus in turn i want to revove the mouse listener from that window ,

plz help find a way
