Java source code for firewall
Hi everybody
I am planning to create a packet filter firewall in my project using java. Is there anybody who knows where I can get free java open source code for a firewall? I have searched for two days online trying to get a free java source code, but all the codes are made in C or C++. I have never learned C or C++.

if you are looking at someone elese source-code are you actually creating it? seems like you are stealing it.
do your own research into how a firewall would work in java (there are many different types these days) and implemented yourself, using the java features you know (or learn during research).

hi there. There are no API of java own to create a firewall application.One needs to write the firewall code in c++ using windows firewall API and then can use native code to link it with Java if needed......:-)
please join ISI Computer Education. They will provide the right solution for low cost

Firewalls cannot be implemented in Java. If you want C or C++ you are asking in the wrong place.

J'ai dis en #11 que celui-ci n'est pas possible en Java. Et aussi je n'aime pas les demandes, et je n'envoyez jamais aucune code source.Entendu?pardonnez mon francais imparfait

To make operating system to drop or accept packets you have to have access to system network API.
In windows you have to pay alot of money to do that.
In GNU/Linux OS this is more easy thing. You could use netfilter libraries or just looking in libraries code for kernel api. These libraries are written in C. To use these libraries in java you have to write java native code.
