Problem with Subwoofer.boom() method

I need a subwoofer. Recommendations, reviews are needed. I tend to go for value rather than high-end but I will pay for quality as long as it's not too expensive.

I know but I need to do some research on what I want and determine how many pennies I need to save. I'm just wondering what people recommend. Any experiences, bad or good?

I find a .357 magnum with appropriate load will give a good boom, or for those that prefer a little more umph to their boom, a good 10 guage with full load or solid slug will yeild a very nice boom. Just remember to brace it firmly against the shoulder or it will produce temporary undesired side effects.
