JAVA & Medical Systems

Hi All,

In my new Job, I'll be working in HealthCare domain. Developing software which'll be used for scanning and

diagnostic tools. I was wondering which JAVA technologies are predominantly used in this domain ?

Before joing my new job, I would like to do some detailed reading on these technology.

My interview was on core java.

And, any good pointers that would help me in this direction ?

Do you mean for imaging? If that is what you mean by scanning, you are going to have to get familiar with the JAI package. You can find out a lot on the sun website and by subscribing to the JAI-INTEREST group. I've forgotten the address, but you can google for it.

What other aspects are you going to be involved in?
