Definitive M$Word to XML Thread
Let this thread begin a discussion on how (difficult) it is to convert MSWord to XML.
I looked at openOffice , Davisor, WmWare and a couple more - they were all no good. I would like a Jar file which allows a word document to be reprsented as XML with all the fonts (sizes and family) preserved.

Word 2003 has that built in, as I understand it. You can get the schemas from Microsoft (sorry, I don't remember where, Google should tell you.)
yes Office 2003 has the XML built in - correct - but im using a Linux box at work so that wont help.
XML word did do something on MSWord to XML - but i wanted to know what real users experience were so that i could evaluate the product . Im not so sure on Open office - And as for Davisor that doesnt seem to good either.
Can someone who has first hand experience at this please note your comments.
