Client authentication

Hello,my WEB server is running only with HTTPS Connector and requires a client authentication.Can Java Web Start perform the client authentication?How should I configure that?Thanks!
Client Authentication is only available using Java Web Start 1.5, is not in earlier versions./Dietz
