Can not run Sun Learning CD-ROMS

Hello,

I've been running two Sun Learning courses (CBT's), CDJ-110 and CDJ-275, without any problems - until I updated my SDK to 1.4.2_04. Now I'm receiving the following:

Error Reading CSF:

java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission C:\Program Files\Sun\Sun Learning CD-ROM\CDJ-110\Courses\CSF_wj-1102_unit_en.xml read)

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Sounds like your java.policy file had permissions in it for running an applet of the CD, and now it's been overwritten..... Was there an installer for the CD? If there was, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Never used them before, so I don't know how they work. :-/

Thanks for the reply. Reinstalling did not help. Any way I can find out which JVM the software needs? Also, are there complications with installing an older version of an SDK in addition to the latest version?Ryan
