difference between jsf 1.1 and jsf 1.2

Hi,

Any One can u please tell me what is the difference between jsf1.1 and jsf1.2.we are doing some r&d on jsf for our project.So,please tell me what are the differences. and please tell me what are the advantages of jsf.and why we need to go for jsf framework?
