Can some one please help me with the weightage given to each of the topics in this exam SCJP 1.5..I mean like collections 15%,Generics 20% etc...also is it like each question in the exam carries equal marks or not?
if not how can know weightage given for topics while preparing for the exam, so that i can put the time and efforts accordingly..

I am not aware of any percentage distribution of the major java language topics
in the exam. All the details (outline, # of items, etc.) presented on the Java Certification
page, I guess, is sufficient enough to guide you in your study.
Besides, this is to assess how much you master the language, not how much you reviewed about it.
Nowhere is it mentioned how the distribution of topics on the exam is, and for very good reasons.
If it were listed a lot of lazy buggers (like OP probably) would just cram just enough topics to pass the exam, instead of having to spend an extra few hours cramming everything.
Sadly cramming still suffices to pass the exam, despite the reassurances by Sun that they had made it harder to do so without practical knowledge.
