unable to receive the meeting requests from other users

Hi all,

I have used the sun java system connector for microsoft outlook (one of the components of the java communication suite5)to connect my outlook2003 to sun java calendar server.

I installed the connector using the doc http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0031/index.html#wp26007

I can send and receive mails to other users.I can even send meeting requests to others and their calendars get updated.

But i have not been able to receive the meeting requests from others. But in the communication express my calendar gets updated and not in my outlook.

Plese let me know what i have to do to receive the requests so that even my calendar in the outlook gets updated.

Regards,

Hi,

I wouldn't expect you to receive a meeting request necessarily. This can depend on your calendar settings (and server-side settings from memory). Usually when another user creates a calendar event and invites you it is created directly in your calendar on the server - and an email notification isn't sent.

If you create a meeting in your Outlook calendar, does it get reflected in your Communication Express calendar? Perhaps the problem is that your outlook connector -> calendar server isn't working correctly for some reason.

Is anybody else experiencing the same problem?

Has it ever worked?

Regards,

Shane.

Yes,when i raise a meeting request my calendar and other users' calendars get updated. Also when other users send a request my calendar in communication express gets updated but my local calendar in the outlook does not get updated.

Is there any way to import the resource calendar .Also i would like to know if i can raise a meeting request in the resource calendar from my microsoft outlook.
