Print Queues

I have a Sun450 server that has been used as a print server in the past . We are shuting down that server and I would like to have the servers that were pointing to that 450 for its printer server to instead act as print servers them self. Can I just change the /etc/printers.conf file to itself instead of the 450 server ? In other words I want these systems to print to the printer themself instead of tthru the 450
