hi, I am newly to solaris, i just install solaris OS from DVD, anyone can tell me how to run a exe file on Solaris? because many application or driver need me to run exe file to run or install.
So, how to setup my sound driver which is running in exe.
got many app need to install inside solaris, any idea to run exe?
A Solaris device driver should never be packaged as an "exe " executable.
That would be for the Microsoft Windoze multiverse.
You may have inadvertantly retrieved the wrong file when searching for a driver to download.
But ...
You didn't describe what hardware you own.
You didn't mention whether you'd researched it on the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL)

If the component can run under Solaris, the HCL will say it does.
If there's a 3rd party driver required, the HCL will have a link to it.
