sun sparc20
dear all,
i am new in sun system & i have sun sparc 20 with external HDD 9GB .
this HDD faile & i replace it with the new one HDD 18GB & format it as the old one for (/var , /usr2, /usr4) and i restore usr4 & usr2 successfully & /var but when I make a reboot & making df k I saw that all capacity take from / (root) to all other partition .

perhaps I'm not seeing the whole picture - but it sounds like mnttab didn't get properly updated and is reflecting that not all of your partitions have been mounted.
how about you try a boot to cdrom, and manually try to mount the lines that you have in your /etc/vfstab under /a
if nothing else, fsck them and ensure they're clean, then umount them before rebooting
if that doesn't work, then it appears to be a syntax issue - jeff
