Upgrade SOL9 to 10, install complete but pb witch CD2?
Hi everybody,
I am trying to install SOL10 on a SUN V120, and the installation goes well, CD1 finishes with install complete, then reboots and asks me for CD2 but once CD2 inserted I get error messages:
"Error for command : read(10) --Fatal
Requested block : 10207
Error block
Vendor : TEAC Serial ...
Sense Key : Not Ready
get CDTOCVals : error reading file : /cdrom/.cdtoc
Then I see some scripts beeing displayed on the screen ... ... and the installation asks me for CD3.
I tried to reinstall 4 times... twice just after this problem occured, then the installation starded from CD1 and when asked me CD2 it took it ... but after CD3 it asked CD5 directely ! This does not seem very clean? What do you think?
So I tried tu put back the mirroring to have a clean envrionment with SOL9 and started the installation again, but same problem, with CD2 ...
Can anyone give me any advice regarding this problem?
I wil try with other CDs ...
Do you think that if the problem occurs again, I should reinstall SOL10 on SOL10 ? Last time, I passed all CDS but in the end ... there was obviousely missing something ... : no nslookup, no man ...for instance
It's my first time ...NO LUCK ...please, any comments are welcome.
