New Solaris 10 u3 installation - network card not found

I just took the plunge wiping my system to install Solaris10 to familiarize myself with it and evaluate it's approprietness for a couple of projects.

I've had linux running successfully on the system just before installing Solaris10 so the hardware should be functioning.

Now after the Sol installation process it cannot find the network. I've looked around in the BigAdmin documentation but have not been able to crack how to troubleshoot this. The only interfaces is the loopback.

I'm a novice with regards to Solaris and perhaps I've failed to pick up the right information from right underneith my nose. Like the device names are quite different from Linux where I would look for a device ethNNN.

The only suspicious thing that I found was in dmesg a warning on "IRQ18 being shared by derivers with different interrupt levels"

I'd appreciate a few pointers on how to proceed.

First thing to do is check the HCL (hardware compatility list) to see if you network card is supported out of the box, with extra drivers, or just not supported.Driver support in solaris is way more limited than linux. You can also download and boot the hardware check CD.
