Problem installing network driver for Solaris 10

Hi,

I am new to Solaris 10, I just installed the OS on a intel 865G. I have a built in LAN/NIC on the mother board. Everything looks fine except for the network/LAN. The NIC does not seem to be installed. I checked the drivers CD of the motherboard, but there are no drivers available for Solaris (everything is for windows).

Where can I first get the drivers for the builtin NIC for Intel 865GSA?

Would appreciate if somebody can explain detail step by step process to install the drivers and setup the NIC.

hi csk

as i saw, intel 865GSE use the network-chip of realtek. - type RTL8100C.

if so, go to realtek.com.tw for the correct driver or try the following link as a shortcut: -->

http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=24642540363k7RQzkc94pMtRBXR

it offers a sun-beta, witch *might* work. ;-)

the other possibility is, to replace the onboard-nic with a "right" one, e.g. intel ether express 100 or some 3com-stuff.
