solaris simple question

i was wondering, i have windows xp on my dell dimension 8200 and according to the sun website, solaris 10 should be able to run on it, however before installing, do i have to uninstall windows xp? or do i just install solaris 10 so i have 2 OS's at the same time? how does that work?

You can a have dual boot system, but for doing this you need to have unformatted space on your disk which has XP installed.
If you want only solaris on your disk, choose the option, the disk is only for solaris during installation, it will delete the existing information of XP on your disk.
