Hello,

Does anyone have information on the Service processor (ilom or the Alom card) on the sun fire v880 and E450 servers.....

The E450 hasn't an ALOM or RSC card.

For information on the Remote System Control (RSC2) Board (Part-No. 501-5856) or Advanced Lights Out Manager Plus Card (Part-No. 501-6767) for the V880 please review the Full Components List and/or Related Documentation in the Sun System Handbook

This just means no option# available. You asked for information, not if you can order these cards.

Please guide me on sun x4100 server also for the same cards......

Sure ! Navigate to the Sun System Handbook, select Systems, locate and select your system (e.g. Fire X4100) and select the Full Components List on the next page.

The Fire X4100 uses a System Service Processor not RSC or ALOM.

As you review the components list for a system in the Sun System Handbook,

there are two columns on the left. The first column will show Sales Option numbers.

The second column will show repair part stock numbers.

For the Sunfire V880 system, the card ships with the system as it leaves the factory.

If you purchase such a system from Sun or an authorized reseller,

you get that part whether you intend to use it or not.

You saw "n/a" in the sales option column.

The item cannot be purchased separately.

The item can be repaired or replaced if it fails.

( In the SSH, "n/a" means not available. )

As for the x4100 system ...

... do the same thing:

Find its page in the Sun System Handbook.

Review the system documentation.

Review the Full Components' List for the system.
