What is the maximum LC-LC cable distance between X4200 server (SG-XPCI1FC-QF4) and ST 6140 storage system directly attached. Any idea?

The specs say that the maximum distance that multi-mode fiber, LC to LC connector, can run is ~400 meters. I've run lengths of 500m without issue however. It also depends on the GBIC used. For longer distances, you'll need single mode fiber which can run several km without errors.truly64a at 2007-7-12 22:39:03 >
