JRE and firewall protection

I am running JRE 6.0 update 2, Mcafee firewall and a router with a hardware firewall. I using netbeans IDE for work and jBoss application server for training purposes only.

When I launch either netbeans or jBoss application server, my Mcafee firewall is detecting java.eve or javaw.eve and asking me to grant access to the internet permanently or one time or block it.

If I grant access to these programs, would I be vulnerable to hacker attracks?
