Discontinue support for JRE 1.4.2?
We develop product software for medium and large companies. We offer a Java client to our customers. Until now we supported JRE 1.4.2 and 1.5. For our new version we plan to discontinue support for 1.4.2 .
I have been trying to get some general figures on the use of JRE versions, but can't find any.
Anyone?

Sorry, don't have any data, but I'd encourage you to move to 1.5 or 1.6. Sun will stop supporting 1.4.2 sometime next year. From http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2:
J2SE 1.4.2 has begun the Sun End of Life (EOL) process. The EOL transition period is from Dec, 11 2006, until the General Availability (GA) of the next Java version, Java SE 7, currently planned for the summer of 2008. With this notice, customers are strongly encouraged to migrate to the current release, Java SE 6.
