I'm looking for a Java Job
Hi there,
To be brutally honest, I'm 37 years old, I recieved my MCAD.net in C# certification and been studying Java for a couple of months now. I am also starting my bachelor's program in Computer Science at the end of August. I love the Java language and my long term goal is to master the language. I'm looking for a job in Java programming/developement for anyone out there who is hiring. I am inexperienced, but I am willing and want to learn from the best in hopes that one day, I will be the best. I hope I'm not too old for any employer out there. If anyone could help me out, please email me. I really want to get my hands dirty. If you're an employer with some sort of entrance exam, don't worry, I won't pass, of course, due to lack of knowledge and experience. If you're reading this out there, a little and encourgement would be most appreciative.
Thanks

Thanks.

What was so brutal about that first sentence?
To be brutally honest, the last time I saw my feet, J Lo was a solid-gold dancer.
BDLH.setVisible(false);
BDLH.dispose();
> BDLH.setVisible(false);
> BDLH.dispose();
According to the API for dispose:
<quote>
Releases all of the native screen resources used by this Window, its subcomponents, and all of its owned children. That is, the resources for these Components will be destroyed, any memory they consume will be returned to the OS, and they will be marked as undisplayable.
The Window and its subcomponents can be made displayable again by rebuilding the native resources with a subsequent call to pack or show. The states of the recreated Window and its subcomponents will be identical to the states of these objects at the point where the Window was disposed (not accounting for additional modifications between those actions).

BDLH.pack(); //whew!

arent you already packed? ....full of DONUTS that is!
klef2001, Don't expect better answers for your job search here.
Most of them here are guru's in Java, they are not going to help you.
IF you really have the will power, just go ahead with your decision, there are a lot of job search sites out there like careerbuilder.com, monster.com.
All the very best to you.

As if today wasn't bad enough for me. Reports of my death:
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5199084&start=15
... were exaggerated. As they winched by body into a grand piano
(stipulated in my will) the cable snapped and I fell hard. The jolt
dislodge a chicken bone from throat, and I came up gasping for air.
Well, after an experience like that, I can tell you that now I'm a changed
man. Only McNuggets for me!
If the school you're attending is worth half a **** they'll have a job placement program, or at least an office you can go to for job advice. It's my opinion that most student's don't take advantage of their school's offered resources when they're still students (myself included).

Dont feel bad. Its was obvious to all of us that the news was a
blatant fabrication. After all they found the chicken UNTOUCHED.

Spare Bucket. Spare Bucket. One of the buckets I emptied last night had tipped over and this morning I found a drumstick behind my bedroom's radiator.
Guys, please free me. Was mykoryak joking? I really felt happy for kleft2001 when I read mykoryak's response. The BigDaddy ought to be able to put a handle on this one.

Har-dee har-har Just because I'm a little pudgy, people think that makes me
a right jolly elf.
Do you work for the DoD BigDaddy? I want to know if mykoryak was only joking.

Agent "Frank" is known to us, but I've already said too much. Forget I ever mentioned this.
Well, if you ain't talking, mykoryak and klef2001 should speak for themselves at this point.
