I cannot open my javac file to create and compile codes, the ms dos screen flashes quickly then exits. All i want to do is start trying to program so any help would be great. I have JDK 6 with the Runtime
You don't double-click javac. You run it from the command line

I know what the word means. It just didn't seem to make sense in the context in which he used it.
