Different Database drivers in Java

Can anybody tell me different types of Database Driver in Java to connect to various databases. I dont want some links. I would like that somebody should give me the explaination of DB Drivers bcoz I went through those sites but I was not able to grasp much. I would love to know which drivers are written in which language and implication of that
