First

realize what you want to install(&to do) - because what you just copy pasted is a mix of broken N1SM installer (because of perl locale bug) & pathetic attempt to run N1SPS installer from N1SM DVD.

SO, if you want to install N1SM - get latest version (1.3.3) & read the guides & especially release notes first, trust me, you HAVE TO.

On the other side if you want N1SPS, than download it's latest version (5.2.1) and if applicable a patch (5.2.4) and you also might want to read its guides, since it's more like a framework & you will not understand until you skim the guides.

I intentionally left out links to downloads and guides, google is your friend & I know you can find it ! ;)

all what i did is the following:

download the N1 SM then the installation Guide

PS: i'm not installing from the DVD because i dont have DVD-rom so i made ftp to a directory

i run the installer from the directory:

/Solaris_sparc/Product/installer/

# ./install

N1SM Installer (version 1.3.3 on SunOS)

1. Install OS packages. [Completed]

2. Install Expect. [Completed]

3. Install IPMI tool.[Completed]

4. Install JDK 1.5. [Completed]

5. Install service provisioning components. [Not Completed]

6. Install OS provisioning components. [Not Completed]

7. Copy DHCP configuration file.[Not Completed]

8. Install user interface components.[Not Completed]

9. Install service container components.[Not Completed]

10. Install N1 System Manager.[Not Completed]

Non-interactive install in progress.

Executing current step: Install service provisioning components...

and it hanged!!!

i got the log file from the guide i have downloaded it

so is this can define the problem?

thanks :)
