swing and .net

I Was hoping someone could direct me to an example and / or provide me with an example of the following:

A application which allows for a host socket to be made, a client to connect to this socket. and then the host and client to send echo's via the use of a button.

Basically a VERY simple chat application made with swing. Been struggling with this for ages. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have nothing to add. I just want to see my name six times at the top of this forum, for some reason

Hate to bump you off, but I feel I should mention that sockets have nothing to do with Swing or .NET, so that's one stinky subject line!

Saish and various other selfish posters had already scuppered my plans anyway. I hope something slightly unpleasant happens to them, like an onion falling on their head or someting

As my pappy used to say, if life gives you onion, potatoes, lard, salt and a little paprika, make home fries!

Upon reflection, it is not in keeping with my personal idiom that someone else might benefit from any curses of mine. I would like to change my curse to something less unpleasant but with less potential for silver linings

I hope they lose the next bet they make that is worth no more than the equivalent of 5 Euros, and that there be no repercussions from this other than they are 5 Euros down

No,... sorry, curses must be vague to be valid. Otherwise there's no wiggle room for unintended consequences...

When did this become a Law forum? I have perfect wiggle room, it precludes unintended consequences

I hope their Tivos record the wrong things for a month
