webservice

hi guys,

i just want to know, how SOAP allows webservice to go through firewall,

because http will be blocked by firewall, whereas SOAP lies on http, allows webservice to go through FIREWALL,can any one tell me how?

Moreover, how to construct a secured java web service?

(I am having Sun studio enterprise edition8.1 IDE to create webservice.)

any comment will be appreciated!!!!!
